Art Deco carved bakelite dragon, bakelite beads & white metal necklace

This is a very special Art Deco necklace.

In the centre of the necklace mounted on a disc of white metal possibly nickel plated, is a blue & green carved bakelite plaque in which a blue & green carved dragon intertwines around & through the round framework that is decorated with a Greek key pattern.

Areas of the dragon & the framework have been highlighted with a matte gold wash.
Suspended from the central section is a round chrome or nickel plated round bead & carved & gold washed tubular blue bakelite bead that leads to a round sage green bakelite bead a domed chrome or nickel plated domed cap. The bead sits in a carved blue bakelite petal shaped cup.

On each side of the top of the central plaque is a a gold washed carved blue bakelite tubular bead below a round nickel or chrome plated bead leading to a round sage green bakelite bead, an elongated oval hexagonal blue bakelite bead and another round sage green bakelite bead.

The beads are held between chrome or nickel plated caps and separated by lengths of white metal chain.

The necklace has a bolt ring fastener.
